Accurate measurements are crucial for a properly fitted garment. Please take the time to look over the measuring instructions on the Measuring page before purchasing your garment. Keep in mind how you'd like the bodice to fit. A bodice 1 inch smaller than your measurements will likely still close on you, but will be tight and give you support. A bodice 2-3 inches smaller will leave a small separation between the front panels as is traditional, and a bodice/cincher 4 inches smaller will give you a very "busty" look.
Front Lacing Bodices Our bodices are made of cotton or cotton blend with an appropriate lining to create a mid-weight garment. They lace through sturdy, smooth grommets, and are lightly boned at the grommets. The eight panel design gives a perfectly tailored look. Flared Bodice: This style is a little twist of a traditional bodice, but with a flared bottom to more comfortably fit over your skirts. The Flared style bodice combines comfort with traditional great looks! This bodice can also be made with either the curved front or scoop neck styles (see below). Just specify your preference on the payment page! Specify the bust and waist size you'd like the bodice to close at, and color you'd like below and click on the "add to cart" button. Andalayan Bodice: Andalayan peasant women love bright colors! Being blessed with a wide variety of plants that create beautiful dyes, you will see the countryside dotted with blues, purples, and pinks of all shades. Their everyday wear is feminine and frilly. For holidays and dances the women will don their fanciest bodices in the most vivid of colors! This fun and frilly bodice is styled after our regular curved front bodice with the addition of contrasting shoulder caps and ruffle peplum. These bodices are made of cotton or cotton blend with an appropriate lining to create a mid-weight garment. The caps and ruffle are made of lightweight cotton - with the caps lined in the bodice lining. They lace through sturdy, smooth grommets, and are lightly boned at the grommets. Strapless Back (or Side) Lacing Bodices (Bustiers)
Strapless Bodice: These bodices are a classic look with a super tailored fit from bust to hips. They can be worn with or without a chemise. All of our back lacing bodices feature a modesty panel (a panel of fabric behind the grommets to keep your chemise from showing), and lace in the back through sturdy, smooth grommets. Traditional Front-Lacing Leather Bodice: Leather bodices are built in the same style as our fabric bodices. Leather bodices are sturdy and very practical for the woman warrior! We can get leather in almost any color! Email with your color choice and we'll see if it's available. Small to Medium bodices (bust size 30-40) start at $85.00. Blade Sister's Bodice: These special designs are perfect for the woman warrior! The top bodice is of the hip length design with a scoop neck. The bodice comes down over the hips for greater comfort (especially on the low back) and the scoop neck creates a bodice that is less restrictive in the chest - keeping your "assets" in place, but not squishing them in. It is also built to come up higher at the back of your neck for more protection. The bottom bodice is a traditional front lacing design, made of a heavy leather look upholstery. These bodices suitable as light armor, and can be made of any sturdy materials, including leather. The paldron sleeves offer protection while keeping your arm movement free. They can be curved (first bodice), or pointed (second bodice). Add our blade sister's bracer (top) for more complete arm protection. Small to Medium bodices (bust size 30-40) start at $70.00.
